SRH vs CSK – IPL Match Highlights 2019

Chennai are made to wait longer with one foot outside the qualification door. But it is Hyderabad who desperately needed this - with at least two of their first XI men set to leave very shortly - ensuring the points table stays just as overcrowded towards the middle. That'll be it from us down here for tonight, with me, Vineet Anantharaman signing off on behalf of Nikhil Jadhav, Raju Peethala, Sagar Chawla, Kumar Abhisekh Das and our scorer, Mukesh Gowda. Until tomorrow, with some more mathematical mess to be thrown into the mix, ta ta!!

David Warner | MoM: Great support, even though there is plenty of yellow they are a fantastic crowd. Some times in our chases we have been a bit hesitant and that's why I tried to bat 20 overs. Against the Kings I thought the wicket was a bit tough. Credit to Jonny, we complement each other really well. I have two beautiful children, one more on the way, and a beautiful wife and I can't thank them enough. I have fantastic support from over the world and it has been overwhelming here in India.

Kane Williamson | Winning skipper: Very good performance all around. Obviously CSK started really well with the bat and we couldn't take early wickets, but we played really well in the back half and we took our chances in the field as well. We showed that intensity and the chase was superb. I don't think the wicket changed too much and what we've seen here is that each wicket is different. We always need to adapt to the wicket, and we'll look to build on this performance. Rashid (Khan) has been an outstanding performer for us over a number of years and on such surfaces he is a big threat for the opposition when it's just holding on. He was brilliant and he was able to take those middle order wickets. Now every game is different and we need to do the same for our next one. Warner's was a match-winning knock along with Jonny (Bairstow). This is the kind of stroke-making we've become used to when he comes out to the middle. Those two have knocked out a bulk of the runs and made it easy for us. We weren't quite ourselves in the last few matches and we wanted to come back to doing what we've always done well. But again, each match is different and we need to build on this one. Jonny Bairstow: Was very pleased to be there till the end. Someone from the top four needed to be there and I am really happy I was the one. I think it's handy to have a right hand - left hand combination. We (Warner and himself) complement each other really well. I think we got a very good team. Today our bowlers did well to restrict them in the last 11 or 12 overs, they're improving in every game. It's a pleasure to play here, in front of these fans with the Orange Army behind us. We were a bit ruthless today. It's a pleasure to keep against (Rashid Khan). It's also challenging to face him in the nets.

Suresh Raina | Losing skipper: I think it is a very good wake up call. I think we didn't put a decent score on the board and kept losing wickets. Faf and Watson gave us a good start but we could not capitalize. We lost too many wickets in between and that's why it cost us the game. We should have looked for partnerships and should have rotated our strike better. Hence, we were 30 runs short. He (MS Dhoni) is feeling better. His back was stiff. Probably he will play in the next game against RCB. He (Imran Tahir) has been giving us breakthroughs. You just throw the ball to him and he delivers. He has been bowling really well. As long as senior players are there, you just need to do well as a unit.

whenever is undercooked, but trust Bairstow and Warner to make a mockery out of it. Hyderabad had to arrest a slide, and there's nothing really better than the ruthlessness they've shown here in humbling the table toppers comprehensively. Okay, the scorecard may make you ogle at Warner's start, and then some more at Bairstow's finishing touches, but what it won't tell you is how well SRH have pulled it back towards the end with the ball in the first innings. Rashid Khan triggered the collapse, the others ganged up to worsen it to five wickets for 22 runs and then Bhuvi and Sandeep Sharma did superbly to keep Jadeja and Rayudu really, really quiet. Alas, scoring just 52 in the last ten overs was is often a pill too hard for even the best to recover from, surely when they are already leader-less. Do hang around, we'll bring you the presentations ..

Chennai Super Kings vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Live IPL Match 2019

Chennai Super Kings vs Sunrisers Hyderabad

Venue : Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium

Sunrisers Hyderabad (Playing XI): David Warner, Jonny Bairstow(w), Kane Williamson(c), Vijay Shankar, Yusuf Pathan, Deepak Hooda, Rashid Khan, Shahbaz Nadeem, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, K Khaleel Ahmed
Chennai Super Kings (Playing XI): Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis, Suresh Raina(c), Sam Billings(w), Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Karn Sharma, Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur, Imran Tahir

Suresh Raina:: We are going to bat first. I think batting first is a good option on this wicket. I think we need to be good in the powerplay. It's all about executing our plans. Dhoni wanted to take some rest, he'll be back in the next game. Karn Sharma comes in the side in place of Santner and as Dhoni is not playing, Sam Billings comes in for him.
Kane Williamson: Good decision Suresh. We were going to bat first as well. It's imporant to bowl first up and do the job. The top two have been outstanding. It's a tough format, but the guys need to go out with freedom and express themselves. The guys are looking forward to tonight's game. Ricky Bhui and Abhishek Sharkma are out, Pathan and Nadeem are in. So that we get the right balance.

                                                                       ---X---

This is not a familiar territory for Sunrisers Hyderabad. For a side that's been consistent over the last three years, they find themselves in a tricky situation at the halfway mark, losing four games already. With three of those losses coming on the trot, the last team they would want to face is Chennai Super Kings. It's a side that's been on a four-game winning streak. It's a side that has lost just once in the tournament so far and more importantly, it's a side that has defeated Sunrisers four times last season, including in the final. Form guide and history are clearly against the home side but a win in such a scenario can do wonders and put their campaign back on track.

They had dropped senior players Manish Pandey and Yusuf Pathan in the previous game against Delhi Capitals but the move did backfire with the replacements failing to cope with the pressure. One of them, if not both, might come back into the side for this crucial game. On the bowling front, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was back amongst the wickets but teams continue to play out Rashid Khan in order to take their chances against the other bowlers. There is certainly a case for a tactical change to try and use Rashid either in the powerplay or at the death when the batsmen are looking for boundaries.

For the Super Kings, it's all about continuing their winning run. Two more wins will confirm their spot in the playoffs once again and three might seal a top two finish that will give them a cushion. While they will be pleased to see Suresh Raina getting back to form, the focus will be on Ambati Rayudu, who is not only out of touch this season, but also agonisingly missed out on a spot in the 15-man World Cup squad. He can certainly take inspiration from last season's encounter at this venue where he bailed his side out of trouble with a masterful 79 off just 37 deliveries before bringing up his first IPL hundred in the return clash.

CSK vs RCB Highlights 2019

1st IPL Highlights 2019

IPL 1st Match - RCB vs CSK

Harbhajan: I have learnt quite a lot sitting next to you, Sunny bhai and all the legends who were in the commentary team. This is a special award from me. It goes to my wife and family. You cannot ask for a better start. Since they have a lot of left-handers, Fleming came and told me I will be playing. It was nice to get a wicket up front and once you have it, your confidence level grows up. Imran bowled really well and it's always nice to get wickets of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. How often an offspinner gets their wickets!
Harbhajan Singh is the Man of the Match.

MS Dhoni: We were not really sure about the wicket, we played our practice game here but it wasn't turning that much. I never expected the wicket to play how it played. I think something close to 140 you are looking at. I think the wicket needs to get much better. Well, we have communicated to the players in what scenarios they will be needed. He [Harbhajan] has the kind of experience needed to bowl on this wicket. I don't think he would have minded bowling first or second here.
Time for post-match presentation.
Eric: "I know tahir 's figures were better but i think harbhajan should get man of the match considering he got three international top order batsmen out."
RamC: "Last season first match gave lot of goosebump moments.. still it is fresh in memory.. this match didn't give any sort of things.. simply boring match.."

Ambati Rayudu: Definitely a tough wicket but had there been another 30-40 runs, it would have been very difficult. It was more like playing a four-day game. It was tough, so we needed to take out time.

QATAR

Ruled by the Al Thani family since the mid-1800s, Qatar within the last 60 years transformed itself from a poor British protectorate noted mainly for pearling into an independent state with significant oil and natural gas revenues. The continuous siphoning off of petroleum revenue through the mid-1990s by Qatari amirs permanently residing in Europe had stunted Qatar’s economic growth. Former amir HAMAD bin Khalifa Al Thani, who overthrew his father in a bloodless coup in 1995, ushered in wide-sweeping political and media reforms, unprecedented economic investment, and a growing Qatari regional leadership role, in part through the creation of the pan-Arab satellite news network Al-Jazeera and Qatar's mediation of some regional conflicts. In the 2000s, Qatar resolved its longstanding border disputes with both Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and by 2007 had attained the highest per capita income in the world. Qatar did not experience domestic unrest or violence like that seen in other Near Eastern and North African countries in 2010-11, due in part to its immense wealth. In mid-2013, HAMAD peacefully abdicated, transferring power to his son, the current Amir TAMIM bin Hamad. TAMIM remains popular with the Qatari public, having prioritized improving the domestic welfare of Qataris, including establishing advanced healthcare and education systems and expanding the country's infrastructure in anticipation of Doha's hosting of the 2022 World Cup.
Recently, Qatar’s relationships with its neighbors have been tense at times. Following the outbreak of regional unrest in 2011, Doha prided itself on its support for many popular revolutions, particularly in Libya and Syria. This stance was to the detriment of Qatar’s relations with Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which temporarily recalled their respective ambassadors from Doha in March 2014. TAMIM later oversaw a warming of Qatar’s relations with Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE in November 2014 following Kuwaiti mediation and signing of the Riyadh Agreement. In June 2017, however, the Quartet — Bahrain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE — cut diplomatic and economic ties with Qatar in response to alleged violations of the agreement.

United Arab Emirates

The Trucial States of the Persian Gulf coast granted the UK control of their defense and foreign affairs in 19th century treaties. In 1971, six of these states - Abu Dhabi, 'Ajman, Al Fujayrah, Ash Shariqah, Dubayy, and Umm al Qaywayn - merged to form the United Arab Emirates (UAE). They were joined in 1972 by Ra's al Khaymah. The UAE's per capita GDP is on par with those of leading West European nations. For more than three decades, oil and global finance drove the UAE's economy. However, in 2008-09, the confluence of falling oil prices, collapsing real estate prices, and the international banking crisis hit the UAE especially hard. The UAE essentially avoided the ""Arab Spring"" unrest seen elsewhere in the Middle East in 2010-11 and in an effort to stem potential unrest, the government announced a multi-year, $1.6-billion infrastructure investment plan for the poorer northern emirates and aggressively pursued advocates of political reform. The UAE in recent years has played a vital role in regional affairs. In addition to donating billions of dollars in economic aid to help stabilize Egypt, the UAE is a member of a US-led global coalition to defeat the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and a coalition partner in a Saudi-led military campaign to restore the Government of Yemen.
